New Eye-shadow Palettes from Sigma – Bare, Dare and Flare

New Eye-shadow Palettes from Sigma – Bare, Dare and Flare

Sigma has launched 3 new Eye-shadow Palette’s, which are Bare, Dare and Flare.  And, I am so excited after just receiving them in mail last week.  Couldn’t hold myself back to do the swatches as fast as possible.

I have already tried different looks from all the palettes.   Love all the 3 palettes.

The Pigmentation and staying power is great.  They last through-out the day and gives minimal fallout. But, always wear eye-shadow primer for better color intensity & to avoid fading by the end of the day.

Each palette got 8 shadows in it and a dual-ended brush.  And, all palettes got combination of both matt and satin formulations.

The Bare Palette  This palette comes with Sigma’s E30 and E25 dual-ended brush.

The Dare Palette  This palette comes with Sigma’s E20 and E45 dual-ended brush.

The Flare Palette  This palette comes with Sigma’s E55 and E40 dual-ended brush.

Will come up with some tutorials soon here on my blog.  If any special request on any of the palettes, pls feel free to ask.

Cost of each palette is USD35.00

How to wear red lips right?????

I am absolutely in love with those electrifying, strong red and magenta lips.  The best part of it is that it picks up your whole face when you don’t have time for too much makeup.  You can get away looking totally trendy in such little time.

Not having enough time for makeup is a common problem with people in Hong Kong.  But, I’ve also seen that people in Hong Kong are more comfortable wearing lip-glosses then lip-sticks.  This is the season to be little daring, try it out galz.

This is a very classy and easy to create look. One of the basics I guess, red lips with mascara and sweep some blush over the cheekbones and you are done.  But, many of us still wonder on how to wear the red lips right. Here is the trick, try and see what works for you

Avoid :

Outlining your lips when wearing darker lip- shades.  Instead, follow your natural lip line.

Use a lip brush instead a lip pencil.  The outcome would be much natural and wearable looking lips.

Minimal eye makeup.  Just wear mascara or if you want just apply some black eyeliner on the top lashes only.  And, don’t miss the blush…it will just pull the whole look together.

Create a flawless base.

And Conceal on the sides of the lips as well for that extra sexy looking mouth.

Use a gloss over the lip-stick for that extra shine (if you like).

Or, for those who still don’t feel they have the guts to wear the Red or Magenta lip-stick as yet.  Go try a sheer lip-stick or lip-gloss in darker color then ususal.

Goldilux Pigment from Sugarpill

This is the loose pigment from Sugarpill in Goldilux.  This is a beautiful gold color  pigment. They have several other colors, but I couldn’t hold myself back to try this one out.

I really like Sugarpill, I have all of their pressed eye-shadows.  They are super rich in color. So, I thought to try the pigment as well.  Even though everytime you order something from them, they will send you a free sample of a different loose pigment.  I have a few of them now, as this was my 3rd purchase from them.  I have 3 samples of the loose pigment and full container of the Goldilux :D.

Here is how it arrives in the mail.  It comes in a white box with their logo on it and fucia wrapping paper.

They give you several other little gifts e.g., loose pigment sample, sugarpill sticker (which you can use anywhere you like, it looks really cool) and some business cards and some photos etc etc.).

Here is how the Goldilux Packaging is.

Makeup Trends in Summer 2011

Summer is right here, so is the desire for freshness and new colors; it is the time for everyone to fancy a new look. So, what are the hot color trends during this summer ??

Let’s bring all that bright makeup out from our makeup kits or invest in some new ones we may like. Most of us have some of these colors in our makeup kits already (weather it’s been in fashion or not). Many times, most woman can’t resist buying those beautiful fresh looking colors. I personally can’t!

This summer, everyone is using strong colors like red, coral or fuchsia.  Other bright colors that everyone can use are those beautiful tropical colors : purples, plums, blues, greens mixed with gold, bronze or sandy colors. You are sure to see most of these colors on almost all cosmetic counters right now.

Here are some of MAC’s Collections during  2011.

I’ve recently purchased the Graftobain Hi-Def Glamour Cream foundations and Color correctors after hearing so many positive things about ’em and reading so many positive reviews and also have been recommended to buy them by Sarah Chaudry of– she’s a professional makeup artitst based in Singapore and she’s such a down to earth nature person…total sweetheart. She’s also got many youtube tutorials, you can check that out.

Back to the Graftobain Hi-Def Glamour Cream paletts, well they are nice and super creamy, easy to match anyones skin tone giving the wide range of colors that they have.  They have 2 different types of paletts, these are the smaller ones which contains 5 differnt color shades in each one and there are bigger ones as well. Which contains the entire range of Cool, Warm or Neutral colors per palette.

I just bought the smaller ones with 5 tones each, to check out how it works for me.

I feel that the coverage is rather sheer, one must use concealer to cover better.  Or, it’s good for people who doesn’t want much coverage or have fairly good skin naturally.

They look very natural and beautiful though. I wish the coverage was better.

and for the color corrector…i simply loved it

Revlon Double Twist Mascara

I am always so picky with mascaras (wonder if everyone else is).  I always prefer using 2 different mascaras to get that right effect on my lashes.

This Revlon Double Twist Mascara, I just bought coz it was fairly cheap (compare to all the other mascaras I’ve bought in the past).

I was really surprised by it’s quality and how easily it goes on the lashes.  It give full, thick and long lashes by using just this mascara (even without using a base).  The only downfall is that it gets finished pretty fast. But, for the price that that I’ve paid for it, it’s still worth buying it.  I have been using it so much that this is my 3 rd purchase now.

It only cost HKD54.00 (aprox. USD7.00) from Sasa, Bonjour, Mannings/Waterson’s etc.  The full price is HKD108.00, but you’ll mostly find it on 50% sale.

Prosays – Lip Blush and Gloss Sticks

Prosays is Developed and Inspired from Japan, Switzerland, Italy and France.

Names : Breezy, Mild, Intoxicating, Glitter Mist, Glitter Snow

I have bought 3 of their lip blushes and 2 of their gloss sticks, which I still find not enough. They are great consistency and long lasting. They hydrate the lips very well and do not wear off for long time. I definately like the the lip blushes more then the gloss sticks. As, the lip blushes are very natural looking whereas the gloss sticks are quite shiny. The color intensity is just perfect and more like moisturizing lipsticks. It shows the color of each lip blush/gloss stick differently and perfectly.

The love their packaging, its clear acrylic just feels like you carrying glass little bottle. Just beautiful 😀

These are “MADE IN ITALY”.

Prosays in Hong Kong is located at

I can’t tell you how much I got these for…as, I bought them during a wedding fair in Hong Kong.  But, they are definately worth a try.

Check out the color swatches for a better idea.

St.Ives Apricot Scrub – Invigorating

St.Ives Apricot Scrub

This is one of the must have item on my bathroom shelf.

I have been using this product for over 10 years now, and have been hooked on it ever since.  I have been recommending it to nearly everyone I know or anyone who would ask me on what to use to make their skin look more radiant and clear.

It clears blackheads, whiteheads, minimizes pores, nourishes and smoothes skin, helps fight acne – the list is just endless!!

You may find the scrub a bit coarse at first, especially if you are used to other more gentle ones, but used the the right way it works wonders even on most sensitive skin.

I use it on my face and body.  I cant live without it.

This is available to buy from any Mannings or Watson’s in Hong Kong
